Lakeview Lodge is located in beautiful countryside, within the Vale of Belvoir, Leicestershire; and overlooks its very own private fishing lake. The picturesque setting is privileged to host some of the most wonderful sunsets, a sight appreciated by all, and perfect for visiting artists, or keen photographers.
Along with the truly idyllic setting, there boasts an abundance of nature and wildlife, offering the opportunity to 'calm, relax, re-fuel, and refresh your senses'! Living in today’s fast, modern world, often detaches us from nature, and, instead, overloads our mind, body and spirit, with stress, anxiety and worry, which can affect our overall mental health. Over time, we forget, what we all instinctively know, ‘nature is a great healer’. Studies have shown that spending time in nature, even for just one hour, can reduce stress and worry, about the past, and the future.
The lodge sits adjacent to it's own private lake, and comes with exclusive use of the lake, should you wish to fish. It is an ideal venue, when holidaying, needing 'time out', or purely as a 'stop off' when travelling further a-field. Lakeview lodge has one double bedroom, and one single bedroom, to accommodate three guests comfortably, but will sleep a total of five guests; by also using the two single sofa beds located to the living room. Lakeview lodge is also a perfect base, from which to visit many interesting places around the area.
We wish to 'break the mould', and be very flexible with regard to bookings. We look forward to doing our utmost, to accommodate guests' exact requirements, when selecting the dates and length of stay required. No fixed arrive/depart days here! We charge per night, with the price dependant on the time of year, and don't base our prices on whether your booking falls mid-week, week-end, or on a bank holiday etc... what a refreshing change, and so much easier! If you wish your well earned break to start on the day of the week that best suits you, then why not!
The fishing lake, of which you have exclusive use, is host to a stock of Carp. There are four large swims/platforms from which to fish, giving ample room to set up a bivvy and fishing equipment; allowing a maximum of three anglers to fish comfortably. Fishing for two anglers is automatically included in our prices. Night fishing on the lake, is permitted.
